“I met with him today morning in office so that he can listen to the song before I take it for Mastering. The song is titled “NO SILENCE “. YkeeBenda said.

The last time we heard the Chief Political commissar of police talking about things that are to do with music, he was sharing about his favorite musician in the music industry.

AIGP Asan Kasingye revealed on how he finds singer Rema Namakula's songs fascinating since she has a good voice.

This time round, Kasingye has come out to fight gender violence through music. He has decided to do this with the help of singer Wycliffe Tugume alias Ykee Benda.

Two weeks ago, Kasingye asked Ykee Benda to create a song about gender based Violence. After recording the song, YkeeBenda took it to Kansigye's office where he listened to it.

"I met with him today morning in office so that he can listen to the song before I take it for Mastering. The song is titled "NO SILENCE ". YkeeBenda said.

Ykee Benda told the New Vision that he was lost of ideas for what to sing about and Kasingye guided him.

"He told me that it's a cause he cares about since violence is happening in Uganda. It's a cause I care about since I love empowering women from the bottom of my heart," Ykee Benda said.

YkeeBenda says that they plan to push the programme to something that can be used for sensitization.

Efforts to get a comment from Asan Kasingye were futile.
