Mityana Christians gather to start Lent season

Bishop Zziwa tipped Christians on how best they can live during Lent, asking them to pray to God, support each other and ensure they live in peace.

Hundreds of Christians gathered at St Noa's Cathedral, Kiyinda in Mityana to attend Mass on Ash Wednesday.
The Chairman of Uganda Episcopal Conference, also the Bishop of Mityana Kiyinda Diocese, the Rt Rev. Dr Joseph Antony Zziwa, led the mass and asked the faithful to use Lent season to strengthen their faith.
Bishop Zziwa tipped Christians on how best they can live during the Lent season, asking them to pray so much to God, support each other and ensure that they live in peace.
He expressed concern over the high rate criminal activities in the country such as murder and asked Ugandans to use the period and repent, stopping whatever wrong they have been doing.
