Volleyball transfer news: Isiagi off to KAVC

Feb 12, 2020

The former UCU man has joined KAVC off the back of an injury-plagued season.

Elias Isiagi has no regrets about joining KAVC on a five-year contract from the UCU Doves.

"KAVC is a family to me. They have been there for me from the time I first knew them," Isiagi told the New Vision.

Isiagi has been one of the UCU Doves most remarkable players, but upon graduating, he made the difficult choice of swapping a team that will compete on the continent for one with potential.

"I have played on the continental level two times now. I have no regrets because I would have been to the same country three times in a row. I believe there is nothing much I will miss, and I am sure I still have a chance to play on the continent with KAVC," he said.

The former UCU man has joined KAVC off the back of an injury-plagued season.  His knee also saw the boisterous attacker fielded as a libero more often because he could not take the exertion.

This means Isiagi is still managing the problem, but he is very certain he will play an important role in taking KAVC back to the top of the sport.

"We have also set targets as a club that we believe we can achieve and that is to win major trophies in the country," he concluded.

With his injury, it will be interesting to see what kind of effort Isiagi will put in but for now, it is a waiting game.
