KAMPALA -  With ten games left to wrap up the season, KCCA coach Mike Mutebi is looking to have his players fit ahead of their coming fixtures.

KCCA take on Maroons at Lugogo without some of their key players due to injury.

The injury list got longer after the defending champion's 2-1 loss to URA last Friday at Ndejje University.

Julius Poloto, John Revita, Nicholas Kasozi, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Sadat Anaku and Jackson Nunda make the list.

"It is a big blow to lose your first players and the injury list has been expanding. This has affected the stability and team selection," said Mutebi.

"We have to change where we shouldn't have had to change. It will affect us, but the players available will do the needful."

Victory today will see KCCA close in on leaders Vipers, who, at 46 points, are currently five points clear.

A win for 10th-placed Maroons will lift them to eighth place.

Meanwhile, KCCA's Sadam Juma returns after recovering from an injury and the trio of Simon Sserunkuma, Keziron Kizito and Eric Ssenjobe are also back from suspension.

The holders, who have struggled to find the back of the net in recent encounters, will need to do more against a team that play a slightly similar game. At 13 goals, Maroons' Steven Mukwala is the league top scorer.

"We need more numbers in the final third. Previously, we would have three players against seven, making it difficult for us to score," said Mukwala.
