Ntagali implored the management of Lweza training and conference center, to use the facility for more training.

The outgoing Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Stanley Ntagali has commissioned the construction of a 1,200 seater church for All Saints Chapel Lweza, at the Lweza training and conference center.

Breaking the ground for the new chapel, Ntagali commended the Church for the plan to establish a much bigger space for the Christians.

"When I'm in Kampala, I will be tempted to come and worship from here. Please call me when you are opening this church," Ntagali said.

The Archbishop, who announced his retirement as the Archbishop of Uganda in 2018, will spend his retirement in Masindi.

On March 1, 2020, having attained the retirement age of 65 years, Bishop Ntagali will resign and be replaced by Archbishop-Elect Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, who was elected on 28 August 2019, as the 9th Archbishop of Uganda.

Ntagali has been moving around different Anglican churches, to bid Christians farewell, after 43 years of service.

At All Saints Chapel Lweza, Ntagali said he is glad, he is handing over to Kazimba who he described as a  brother and friend.

In his sermon, Ntagali implored Christians not to hold onto anger by forgiving those that have wronged them.

During the service, he confirmed 38 children into the Anglican faith, after making vows to serve Jesus Christ the Lord.

Ntagali implored the management of Lweza training and conference center, to use the facility for more training.

"We want the training element to come back. The training had been dropped, I want us to continue making it a training center," Ntagali said.

To send off Ntagali, Christians at the All Saints' Chapel Lweza gifted the Archbishop as a way of saying thank you for the good job well done during his reign.

"We are grateful for the good work you have done during your service as the Archbishop. You have reached out to all the dioceses in Kampala," Rev. Emmanuel Kalagala, the chaplain at All Saints Chapel, Lweza said.
