Police FC's journey in the Stanbic Uganda cup came to an end on Saturday following their 2-0 defeat to Admin FC, an Eastern regional side at Paya playground in Tororo.

Aaron Okoth and Walter Alele each had a goal as Admin stretched their unbeaten run to 29 games since coach Nasidu Nditta took charge last season.

Two first-half goals in the 11th and 40th  minutes for Admin was enough to seal the win and bundle out Police that joins other Uganda Premier League sides Vipers, BUL,  Busoga United, Onduparaka out of this year's race.

Admin is currently one of the strongest sides in the Eastern regional league where they top the Bukedi Group on 20 points from eight games.

Last season they finished behind MYDA and thus missed narrowly qualifying to the StarTimes Uganda Big League.

Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants, Kyetume and UPDF all walked away with victories to storm the round of 32.

This year's Stanbic Uganda Cup winner will get sh40, up from the sh30m they gave out last season. The runners up will pocket sh20m while teams that finish in the semi-finals will each walk off with sh12m.

Those that finish in the quarter-finals will each get sh6m and those that drop out at the round of 16 will get sh3m each. The winners of the Uganda Cup will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. Proline FC is the defending champions having won it for the first time last year.
