Richard Lutwama and Robert Busingye will be fired up to enjoy even more glory when they return from Dubai after watching the Omega Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament.
Following their Season-3 victory in the Singleton Golf Challenge at Entebbe Club, the two golfers are in Dubai to enjoy the European Tour event but the pair promised not to be distracted as they are keen on defending their title.
"We are excited and so thankful to all the sponsors for giving us this opportunity. We are particularly much spiced up and excited to be making this trip, we want to assure the golfers that we are coming back to take them on again," Lutwama said before they left.
"We are coming back to defend our title and we are looking forward to some great golf once more at Entebbe Club,"
"We encourage other golfers to come to Entebbe and enjoy the tournament," Busingye added.
Entebbe Club captain Edwin Tumusiime and Treasurer Robert Ssebugwawo saw off the winners who will enjoy a four-day stay in Dubai.
Tumusiime said their trip will inspire other golfers participating in this year's edition to perform well in order to enjoy a similar treat.
UBL's Head of Luxury Portfolio, Annette Nakiyaga expressed her gratitude towards the winners promising a more competitive series this year.
"This here is the best part of the entire series, a pivotal moment where we get to enjoy the fruits of the hard work and commitment that we put in throughout the entire season, all I will say is go out there and enjoy yourself like the Singleton, this trip will be one where you get to craft lasting and unforgettable memories, but while you are doing that don't forget we are ready for an even more exciting challenge this season," said Nakiyaga.
Lutwama and Busingye beat Andrew Atuhaire & Geofrey Orach in a sudden-death playoff hole after they were all square in a highly contested Match Play Championship final last year to win the trip, which is the ultimate prize in the Singleton Challenge.
