State minister for sports, Hamson Obua has urged motorsport leaders to be united if they are to achieve success in the region and on the continent.

Obua made the remarks while meeting the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) executive members at Lugogo Sports Complex.

"Success is achieved through teamwork. You are the kitchen and you have to work as team to get and maintain your brand outside your federation," Obua said.

He also urged FMU to spread the sport nationwide so that they can build a strong fan base.

"It seems you doing well in the central region, but give the sports a national identity by spreading it to other regions Gulu, Kabale if the environment allows," Obua who is the Member of Parliament for Ajuri County said.

The National Council of Sports chairman Bosco Onyik and Secretary General Dr. Patrick Ogwel lauded FMU for being one of the most active and performing federation in the country.
