"Every Monday I bought copies of the Bukedde newspaper, using my own funds, not school funds. I distributed the pullout to my pupils until they sat for their finals and am glad they made it"

Having spent 10 years in the teaching profession, Eliab Nkalubo, a mathematics teacher attributes his current success to Vision Group's weekly Pass PLE printout.

The 36-year-old holds a diploma in primary education and teaches at Kawuku Boarding Primary School in Mukono district.  He told New Vision that his secret lies in Bukedde's Pass PLE revision paper that aids his teaching.

"Bukedde's ‘Pass PLE' has a lot of revision; Every Monday I bought copies of the Bukedde newspaper, using my own funds, not school funds. I distributed the pullout to my pupils until they sat for their finals and am glad they made it," Nkalubo said.

Nkalubo further reveals his secret adding that he ensures the pupils have a positive attitude towards his subject so that they master what he teaches them.

"I make sure that Mathematics comes to life whenever am teaching my learners and I show them that the subject is simple," he said.  Nkalubo also says he identifies the weak pupils and helps them improve.

"I do not leave any learner behind for I believe there is no weak pupil in a class as long they have the best teachers around," Nkalubo added.

He also constantly consults different textbooks, makes inquiries from fellow teachers and also makes thorough revision.  He advises fellow Math teachers to learn to befriend their pupils, make research and seek knowledge from other educators.
