Court Martial releases four senior Policemen

KAMPALA - Four policemen, including two senior officers, accused for kidnapping and repatriating two Rwandan nationals have been released on bail by the General Court Martial siting at Makindye, Kampala.
 
The policemen are Joel Aguma, the former commandant of the Police's Professional Standards Unit, Herbert Muhangi, the former Flying Squad Unit boss, James Magada and  Amon Kwarisima.
 
The court presided over by Lt.Gen Andrew Gutti released them on grounds that bail is a constitutional right.
 
He said the accused presented substantial sureties in court and have fixed places of abode. The four had spent over two years on remand at the Military Police barracks.
