Yes, they are.

How do you handle them?

I have standards. So, I kindly tell them that I am not interested. If they are texting, I do not respond to them. If they insist, I block them on social media.

Do you have a girlfriend?

No, I do not.

Why?

Because I am a Born-again Christian.

Do you mean to say Christians should not have girlfriends?

Christians are not allowed to have girlfriends, but wives. Instead of cohabiting and fornicating, I rather make the girl my wife.

What would you like your ideal wife to be?

It is a secret.

Why?

I do not want women to read about what I want, then they start pretending to have those qualities so I can fall for them.

How will you know that this is the woman is you want?

I will pray about it.

When are you planning to settle down?

I was planning to settle down last year but, due to some reasons, I did not. Maybe this year.

Is the lucky woman already there?

The woman is not yet there, but I will find her.

They say Christian men are boring and slow, is it true?

No, we are not. However, we do not want to marry girls who are not true Christians. That is why we take our time.

What is your take on sex before marriage?

I am against it.

Are you a virgin?

I have had sex before, but that was long before I gave my life to Christ.

 What happened to your girlfriend then?

When I got saved, I found out that we were living in sin. So, we could not continue in the relationship.

I wanted to live a holy life.

What is your take on young people having sex before marriage?

Some Christians are involved in some funny behaviours, including some church leaders, but on judgment day, everyone will stand alone before God to give an account of how they led their lives.

How do your peers react when you tell them that you are abstaining till marriage?

People keep pressuring me to get a girlfriend. However, I enjoy my peace and I am focusing on what I want to do with my life.

How long have you been abstaining?

It has been so long. When you learn about God, there are things that you cannot do on your own, but the Holy Spirit strengthens you.

When did you give your life to Christ?

I do not remember, it has been long.

What do you mean? You do not remember anything or you are lying to us?

I sincerely do not remember, I have forgotten.

Don't you think your job and faith are in antagonism?

If I do not steal anything, then there is no problem with it.

I mean bodybuilding, which involves showing off your body in public, is that right according to your faith?

This is a sport. You will never find me showing my body aimlessly in public.

How does that glorify God?

God supports what I do. It is what I love, as long as I am not sinning.

What advice would you give to youth about sex?

They should abstain from sex to honour God. If not, then they should abstain to avoid sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

In the past, some Mr Ugandas have said some businesspeople call them for gigs and then they end up asking for sexual services have you ever fallen prey to that?

I am a Christian and I cannot be called just for any job. I carry the title of Mr. Uganda respectfully. Therefore, I do not even think in that direction when I am taking up any job.
