A source at the NRM secretariat said Omona’s posting is expected to ease communication between NRM leaders, supporters, and voters.

The former Deputy National Treasurer for the National Resistance Movement, Dr. Kenneth Omona, has officially taken over as the Principal Private Secretary to the President.

Omona was MP for Kaberamaido County in the 9th Parliament and was later handpicked by the President to deputise Rose Namayanja at the NRM secretariat.

He replaces Molly Kamukama, formerly an assistant in the NRM chairperson's officer and has since been appointed state minister for economic monitoring.

The handover was witnessed by State House heads of department.

Parliament will today vet Kamukama for her new posting.

A source at the NRM secretariat said Omona's posting is expected to ease communication between NRM leaders, supporters, and voters.

Some of the former PPS' include Amelia Kyambadde, Mary Amajo, and Grace Akello.
