Vipers SC new signing Paul Mucureezi says he is ready for the new challenge.

Mucureezi was speaking after being unveiled today at St Mary's Kitende, the home of Vipers after signing a three-year deal.

"I'm looking forward to another journey now with the Venoms. I want to see how I can improve as a player. I want to thank Mbarara City for the opportunity they gave me and indeed I developed as player. I'm ready to give in all my best when given an opportunity," stated Mucureezi.

Mucureezi, a midfielder-cum-forward who also played for KCCA FC joins Vipers as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Mbarara City last month.

The 27-year-old can play anywhere in the front three although his preferred position is on the right-wing.

At Vipers, he finds stiff competition in the team with the likes of Allan Kayiwa, Innocent Wafula, Tito Okello among others who are able to play on the right-wing.

Mucureezi comes at a time when Vipers are top contenders of this year's league after they finished top at the halfway mark with 36 points, four above defending champions KCCA.

He will expect to make his debut against Kyetume in the second round on January 10 at St Mary's stadium.
