TRIBUTE
Members of Fr Vincent Ssennoga's family have paid tribute to Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga of Kampala Archdiocese for taking good care of the priest during his two-decade-long illness.
Fr Ssennoga, a senior priest of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, passed on at
Nsambya Hospital last week. He was aged 73.
Agnes Nalubega, a member of the family, said her uncle had battled cancer for so long,
but he was always strengthened by the love, generosity and care he received from the
Archbishop, the priests and other Christians of goodwill.
Ssennoga was buried at St. Peter's Proto-Cathedral Cemetery, Nsambya. He attracted
warm tributes from Christians and family members.
The Vicar-General of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, Msgr Charles
Kasibante, described Ssennoga as a faithful priest of the Roman Catholic Church, who
served the people of God with love and dedication.
"He served in various places in different capacities. He was in parishes such as
Rubaga Cathedral, Kisubi and Kabimbiri, among others. He preached the Gospel and
administered the Sacraments. He has been sick for a very long time, but he never lost
hope. Let us emulate his good Christian life and example," Kasibante said.
