The prime minister of Uganda together with the archbishop of the church of Uganda (COU) Stanley Ntagali has launched Janani Luwum's foot pilgrimage 2020 at St Paul Cathedral in Namirembe in Kampala.

The pilgrimage is set to start on 29th January 2020 from Namirembe Diocese and end on 14th February 2020 in Mucwini in Kitgum.

After only three years since its establishment in 2016, the Ugandan Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation under Minister Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye has been recognized by its peers by electing Uganda to chair the Specialized Technical Committee on Education, Science and Technology (STC-EST) of the African Union for the next two years.
