Police in Hoima is investigating the murder case of Emmanuel  Tumusiime 35, a resident of Kijumba cell, Kigorobya town council in Hoima District.

According to Julius Hakiza, the police spokesperson Albertine region, the murder occurred on December 11, 2019, at around 6:00 pm from his house by his lover identified as Joan Twinomujuni using an axe and died instantly.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Twinomujuni found Tumusiime taking Anti Retroviral (ARV) drugs without informing her that he was living with HIV. She got angry and picked an axe, with which she killed him.

Upon realising that the lover is dead she locked the house both sides and jumped on a Boda Boda to Hoima central police and reported a case of the murder of her lover by herself. She was arrested and detained.

Hakiza told New Vision that police has visited the scene cordoned it off pending visitation this morning. The case has been registered as 1101/2019. Hakiza We called upon the victims of HIV Aids to always inform their partners and attend counselling centres because falling victim of HIV  Aids isn't the end of life.
