Bright Stars continued to pile more pressure on Treble Group leaders KCCA FC Soccer Academy following their 3- 1 victory over Express in the FUFA Junior U-17 League.

In the Hattrick Group, Lawrence Otude, and James Jarieko were on target as defending champions BUL defeated Kyetume 2-0 while Mbarara City went down 2-1 to SC Villa.

At the end of the season, the top sides from each of the groups meet in the final to decide the champion of the league.

The FUFA Junior league is intended to cater for under-17 players and it is an obligation for all the 16 premier league sides to have a junior team.

The players in this league have a chance of playing for the junior and senior national sides.

A team is awarded four points instead of three in this league if they win with more than two goals.
