Today's morning downpour has cut off Twanzane trading centre In Bundibugyo town after the rains washed away the bridge.

Another Bridge at Humya stream in Buhundu, Bukonzo Sub County has also been washed away this morning.

Badru Katumba at the Handball Awards Gala

The 2019 National Handball Awards Dinner 2019 took place on Sunday, December, 8. The awards are aimed at celebrating outstanding handball players in the country. 

For the 1st time in the history of the handball sport, a woman, Acholla Lillian of Nkumba University, was crowned overall player of the year, beating Ogom Francis (Ndejje University) and Kisalita Ismah (Makerere University) to the award.

The event was organized by the league managers, GOWE Services in conjunction with the Players' Committee of Uganda Handball Federation.

Henry Nsubuga in Mukono: Girl dies in a saloon, another admitted

Fear has gripped residents of Buguju village in Mukono Central division when they woke up to a mysterious death of one of the saloon attendants, who died at night.

Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire identified the deceased as Jane Nakirya, 17, who came from Budaka district to work in a saloon.
