The Police has detained four people including Christopher Aine, for holding up traffic on Kampala Road, saying that they were protesting the lack of jobs in the country.

The group has also railed against what they called rampant corruption in the country.

MARIA WAMALA’S LENS AT PARLIAMENT 
 

Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and her Ethiopian counterpart Tagesse Chafo have called for improved infrastructure across the African continent to improve trade and ease movement of persons.

The duo said that it is urgent that the existing road, rail and air transport networks are improved.

They said that since the relationship between the two countries is strong, both Uganda and Ethiopia can take lead in the development.

This was in a meeting between speaker Kadaga and the Ethiopian delegation composed of legislators, the business community, diplomats, culture and religious leaders, led by the speaker of Ethiopia.
