Kawempe Muslim coach Ayub Khalifah has praised his side for putting up tremendous performance during their 4-0 victory over Muteesa 1 Royal University 4-0 in the FUFA Women Super League.

"The players played very well although we should have scored more goals since we created a lot of chances. But the league has just started we hope for the best in the coming games,"stated Khalifah.

The victory saw Kawempe move top of the standings with six points just like second placed Lady Doves although the latter have a better goal difference.

In other games played over the weekend, Fazila Ikwaput scored the only goal as Lady Doves beat She Corporates 1-0 in Masindi. She took her tally to four goals this season.

Brenda Munyana and Latifa Nakasi were on target as Uganda Martyrs defeated Kampala Queens 2-1 while Fauzia Najjembe scored a consolation for Kampala Queens.

In the related development, they were also matches in the FUFA Women Elite League.
