KCB Nkumba v Sport-S 7 pm, Lugogo Arena
Pressure is an insurmountable bully and on Tuesday night at the Lugogo Arena, a good section of the volleyball fans saw how easily a good side can crumble if the opponents know where to land punches.
KCCA fell victim to Ndejje as the latter came from behind to keep the contest alive, taking the 2006 champions to 1-1 and a lost an opportunity to win the series 2-0.
KCCA with the likes of Eunice Amuron and Peace Busingye could not get over the line. Just like in their previous matches, KCCA comfortably took early 2-0 sets lead but as the match developed they lost concentration and their sting.
"It was a bad day in the office for KCCA and they celebrated a little early and of course in the third, they had led by about five points only to lose it which frustrated them leading to them losing the match," KCCA coach Nason Bwesigye said.
The nature of the loss proved that regardless of the fact that Ndejje were not at their best, they play as a unit and in that regard, have more play-offs experience as a unit.
Although KCCA has quite a number of experienced players, it's evident that they are still in the process of getting to know each other.
Last year, the club on a journey to rebuild the women's team branched out and acquired many good players. By making the playoffs, they showed great improvement but at the moment in this series, Ndejje will capitalise on their weakness especially the inability to close out matches.
