1. Besigye

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president Kiiza Besigye faced off with Police on Monday in Kireka while on his way to Namboole Stadium where FDC had planned a meeting. His convoy was intercepted and the Police used teargas to disperse his supporters while blasting the four-time presidential candidate with a water cannon while he stood in this car's sunroof; a move that almost flung him over. The images from that emerged from that confrontation in a week where the Police has come under intense scrutiny over its handling of protests, have dominated conversations.

2. Makerere

As the fallout from Makerere University's move to hike fees at the institution by 15% continues, MPs on Tuesday kicked out the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and the chairperson of the University Council, Lorna Magara, telling them to return on Wednesday.
 
The MPs also demanded the presence of the First Lady and education & sports minister, Janet Museveni.
