In a statement issued this afternoon, police confirmed that Besigye is detained at Nagalama Police Station in Wakiso district.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango in a statement admitted that Police had been informed of the FDC’s intended anniversary celebrations. “But we wrote back to them advising that they should shift venue, but they ignored our directive,” Onyango said.
