Muslim leaders warned over misconduct

Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) has warned Reginal and District Kadhis against misconduct which affects the strengthening of Muslim unity and development.
"Don't accept to become tools that will be used to promote disunity among Muslims instead work towards resolving wrangles among Muslims, noting that reconciliation is the best way to go, because it is part of Allah's belief, '' Ambassador Yahaya. Ssemuddu advised
He called Regional and District Kadhis to work with Muslims as well as non-Muslims and to avoid acts that undermine Muslims and Islam.

Ambassador Ssemuddu was speaking during the closing ceremony of a five day residential induction workshop for Regional Kadhis organised by (UMSC) at Arch Apartments in Kampala on Friday.
The induction was under the theme "Strengthening UMSC Structures to support the council development agenda".
Ssemuddu noted, the Regional Khadis you have responsibility promoting the image of Ummah as well as helping Muslims to improve their livelihood .
The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje speaking during the closing of the workshop urged Regional and District Kadhis to strengthen their relations with district leaders, religions and the Central government.
"We need to work together on common issues that affect our motherland Uganda," he advised

Mubaje told District Kadhis to work closely and under the Regional Kadhis "As Regional Kadhis are your immediate bosses, if you disobey them, you will have disobeyed the Mufti and the UMSC constitution," he noted.
Mufti Mubaje appealed to congregation to ignore negative talks from parallel establishments and to invest all their energies and capabilities in delivering services to Muslims.
Abdulkadir Balonde, National Chairman UMSC called upon religious leaders to register all Muslims in the districts, Muslim school and health centers because so that they can be supported by UMSC.

Regional Kadhis received certificates and people with disabilities received wheel chairs and other assortment of items donated by IHSAN organisation handed over by . Muhammad Ngoma, a Professor from Makerere University School of Business Studies (MUBS).
