Soroti Cricket Academy is all the rage in women's cricket. Conversely, one of their new products Soroti Challengers are struggling to match up to the existing standards!

Debutants in the top tier of the UCA women's League, the side is misfiring as the competition approaches the crucial stages.

A search for their maiden win continues as they make a trip to the Entebbe Cricket oval to face a tested crop of KICC. They are seated second last on the standings with just two points from as many games.

Their struggles partly come with an element of surprise especially for the fact that they have some really talented players with valuable experience from the national team set up.

National team player Evelyn Anyipo is a huge presence in the setup. Patricia Munguryek, a former national team player stands tall as well. Meanwhile, Clare Mushakamba who has been tried and tested especially in the Girls' cricket week is another key player.

Their main challenge has been in the inability to gel as a totally different team.

KICC is not at their usual best but a date against the new side Soroti Challengers does not come as too much of a burden. They are third with 13 points and perhaps its another opportunity to rake maximum points in Saturday's encounter.
