Uganda Cranes interim coach Abdullah Mubiru is confident that the friendly clash with rivals Kenya on Sunday will be a good test for his side ahead of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN2020) qualifying tie with Burundi.
Uganda will play neighbouring rivals Kenya in a mouthwatering friendly match on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium in the capital Nairobi.
Confident Mubiru revealed this Thursday as he conducted the last training session before the team flew to Nairobi in the wee hours of Friday.
"We are preparing the team especially local players who will feature in our tie against Burundi in the Africa Nations Championships in September," stated Mubiru.
Mubiru, who is Uganda Premier League side, Police FC coach, highlighted that, he is playing a team for the incoming permanent coach to use in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due in November where Uganda will play Malawi and Burkina Faso.

"I am also preparing the boys for the new coach who will take over the team on a permanent basis for the Africa Cup of Nations ties with Malawi and Burkina Faso" highlighted the interim boss.
According to the coach, Thursday's training session was mainly focused on improving the forwards' sharpness in front of goal.
"My focus today has been on finishing by the forwards because we create chances but finishing has been lacking," Mubiru said.
Uganda will rely on Vipers SC forward man Fahad Bayo, KCCA's Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu for goals.
