KAMPALA - As many as 50 primary school teachers will be awarded the 2019 National Teachers' Prize for their outstanding performance during the 2nd National Primary Teachers’ Conference.
The three-day conference will start this Thursday (September 5) end on Saturday.
It will attract 4,000 primary school teachers and 170 district and municipality officials.
President Yoweri Museveni will grace the event, alongside his wife and education minister Janet Museveni.
State Minister for Primary Education Rosemary Minister Seninde told reporters at the Uganda Media Centre on Monday that the upcoming conference aims at celebrating the contribution of teachers towards learning, community and national growth.
It also looks to harnessing their partnership and innovation for development.
New Vision understands that will feature keynote addresses from important dignitaries, plenary sessions and over 20 parallel sessions.
