Toto Kids festival is back

Two children are set to be crowned Mr. and Miss Toto when the Kid’s festival returns to Mbarara.

 
Sunday, September 1, 2019, is going to be yet another fun-filled and exciting day for children in western Uganda as Vision Group holds the third edition of the Toto Kids Festival at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara district.
 
Two children are set to be crowned Mr. and Miss Toto when the Kid's festival returns to Mbarara.
 
Barbara Nyamwiza, the Vision Group Media in Education co-ordinator and former weekly kids' show host on TV West is known as ‘Teacher Barbara', led the Toto team that visited different schools in the region telling children about the event.
 
"We are bringing all the musicians the children love and asked for, and there will be more play activities this time around," she said of the Toto's Kids festival happening this Sunday.
 
In addition, there will also be a talent search for children that includes among other poetry, singing, dancing, and painting.
 
"The best child in each of the categories will get a prize including school fees and the best two out of this winning group will be crowned Mr. and Miss Toto Mbarara," Teacher Barbara revealed.
 
All this is catered for in the sh.10, 000 each child will pay at the entrance for the festival on Sunday at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara district.
 
Grace Nampiima, the editor in charge of Toto magazine, said the annual children's event in Mbarara is a day for families to have fun together.
 
For every child, there will be lots of entertainment and games including bouncy castles, merry-go-rounds, swimming pools, trampoline, face painting, talent competitions, and freebies to make Toto kid's festival the ultimate children's fanfare this holiday.
 
"Vision Group has already paid for all these activities. It is only a few play items such as the camel rides, that the children will enjoy at a small fee," she said.   
 
Dickens Akumpumuza the Events and Promotions Manager at Crown Beverages Limited, the manufacturers of Pepsi says sodas will also be sold at a discount for every child to have the utmost fun.
 
"I am calling all parents in Mbarara district, Kirihura, and the whole of western Uganda to bring every child to the Toto kid's festival to have a fun holiday experience.
 
We are delighted to yet again partner with Vision Group (Toto kid's festival) to entertain children this school holiday," Akumpumuza says ahead of the event this Sunday.
 
Toto festival is a children's fun event organised by Vision Group under the Toto brand and in partnership with Pepsi.
 
Entry to the festival is sh10, 000 for each child while parents access the festival free of charge.  Gates will open as early as 7:00 am and close between 5:00-6: 00 pm to ensure children safely return home.
 
"We are working with the Uganda police. Children and all festival attendees will get the best security," Teacher Barbara said.
 
With security guaranteed, all children and parents will safely party this Sunday at the Toto Kid's festival to this holiday a memorable one.
