KAMPALA - Of let, instrumentalists are taking center stage in offering a whole new feel of what entertainment should be. Event organizers are now making it a must to have an instrumentalist appear or even headline a show. Ugandan party-goers are as well as embracing the change.

Among the many that have come up is the sensational saxophonist Joseph Sax and celebrated guitarist Myko Ouma who have soared above the clouds in the industry.

After making an emphatic mark in the entertainment industry with their solo careers, the two have recently gone ahead to form an undeniably exciting band called Joseph Sax, Myko Ouma, and friends.

Besides taking fans on a jazz music rollercoaster at various events, the two recently started their regular live show dubbed Live Music Vaults in Kampala. Last night was another edition of the show and boy oh boy, the performance was unforgettable.

As the band performed, Sax’s saxophone as always stood out with both low and high notes. The fans couldn’t help but whistle along. Ouma also had his solo moments where he plucked the strings of his solo guitar. Fans were left in awe.

No wonder the two jazz maestros have been lined up to serenade at the forthcoming Uganda Festival organized by UNAA Causes in New York from August 29 to September 02.

Last night’s edition was rather different. As many would know by now, the silent disco wave is hitting entertainment by surprise. The experience last night wasn’t any different. Those who didn’t have headphones were as good as out of the show.

After a couple of original compositions by the band. Fans were enthralled with cover songs they could relate with. Songs like Case by Temi, On the low by Burna Boy got many on their feet to shake some bones.
