Registration for the cards has also been made easier and can be done individually on the Express FC website according to Jjunju.

Express FC has unveiled prepaid Visa enabled cards dubbed ‘Visa pay wave' that their fans will use to not only access the stadia but also use to make transactions outside the stadium.

The Club Chief Executive Officer Hamza Jjunju unveiled the new innovation during a meet and greet gathering for some of their corporate fans at Golden Turip Hotel on Friday.

The card comes in four categories; the Express Standard that goes for sh100,000/-, the Express Eagle for sh150, 000/-, the Express Premium for sh500, 000/- and the Express Black that goes for sh1m.

On top of being a pre-paid Visa Card, each one of them comes with its own benefits. The Express Standard card offers the owner ordinary entry to all Express FC home games (league and Uganda Cup) while the Express Eagle offers a replica jersey on top of the ordinary entry to all home games.

The Express Premium and the Express Black comes with all the above in addition to an Express FC branded travel mug, one soda and one bottle of water; and half time snacks, an invitation to the end of year club party and at one network meeting with the chairman and the board respectively.

JJunju explained that the black card is intended to make the club the only ‘business club' intended to discuss business in the long run.

Registration for the cards has also been made easier and can be done individually on the Express FC website according to Jjunju.

"We are first at everything, so we want our fans to register, create their own ID's, upload their pictures and choose what type of card they need and then pay for whatever number of seasons they want using mobile money," Jjunju stated.

He urged the fans to watch Express' home games in large numbers and to register their children and bring them along at the matches.

Club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka explained that those still with the Equity Express cards can still use them since they will be interfaced with the new cards.

"Children who come with their parents do not pay entrance. We want to encourage the children to come to the stadia to ensure continued support for the club," Kiryowa said before he hailed sponsors Betway for developing the human resource at Express.

He said the advisory council was going to focus on developing their new stadium project in Kasanje.

"You might not see some of us because our priority in the 2019-2020 season is the football stadium that is going to be built into two phases. We are going to start with a seating capacity of 2000, but the master plan is to have a 24,000 seater stadium. We will also have a tennis court, a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant so that when we come for our matches we can stay and enjoy," Kiwanuka stated.

"The plan we have for Express is a long time and futuristic plan, it is not unachievable and what we ask of fans is to remind people about Express, come to the stadium with your families,"

He said they were projecting to collect at least sh300m from the gate collections and that they were planning to unveil new replica jerseys every year.

Aiden Kateregga the fans representative on the board also urged the fans to bring family members along and also to buy the official team's merchandise.

Betway's Country Manager Adella Agaba promised more support to the club and said they were going to develop an Express FC App to further ease the fans' interaction with the club and urged the fans' representative to involve Betway in all fans' activities.

"We are going to take the outstanding players for trials in South Africa and the club CEO Jjunju for further training in South Africa as we continue to tap into the new talent.

"The more you support us the more we can be able to give back so I urge the fans to continue supporting the brand," Agaba stated.
