ENTEBBE - The State Minister for Finance and economic development, David Bahati has urged pastors and religious leaders to follow the principals of marriage rather than spoiling the institution.

Referring to the biblical teachings Bahati told them to lead by example to their congregation adding that marriage is the first institution which God created.

"Marriage is an institution of God; the first marriage was that of Adam and Eva. In marriage, you should stay together in sickness and health and you should love and cherish it," he said.

Bahati who was officiating at the 30 anniversary of Pastor Aaron and Justine Mutebi of Entebbe Miracle Centre in Entebbe, Kitoro over the weekend told the congregation that they should follow the example of their pastor and keep their marriage despite the challenges they face.

Earlier during his sermon pastor, Simoen Kayiwa of Namirembe Christian Fellowship told believers that their couple has kept their relationship for the future and their children.

Kayiwa tipped believers to keep their problems to themselves in order to avoid being judged by people in their communities.

"What keeps a family together is when you stand together amidst challenges. When something wrong happens to leave it and just move on with life," Kayiwa said.

He told believers that marriage is a pastoral pledge, which married couples make with God
