Butabika searches for escapee patient

Butabika hospital is searching for a patient who escaped recently from the facility.

According to the Executive Director of Butabika Hospital, David Basangwa, Peter Uhuru Okema, 23, escaped from the facility one month ago.

He said Okema had been a patient of Butabika Hospital since January 2017 and he was re-admitted early May this year before his disappearance when he was about to be discharged.

"Okema is a drug addict (Maljuana consumer). He jumped over the wall fence of our facility a month ago and his parent wants to thereabouts of his child," he noted.

Basangwa stresses that Okema does no know English and Luganda, he only speaks Acholi. He is suspected to be in Kampala.

Basangwa appeals to the public if anyone with information to report him to a nearby police station.
