Parents of a seven-month-old baby are seeking assistance to have her daughter undergo an operation.

Fiona Nalubega, the 21-old mother of the girl, says are daughter was born with two sexual organs.

According to a medical report dated March 15 from Mulago Hospital, the baby is suffering from what is known as ambiguous genitalia.

Ambiguous genitalia is a rare condition in which an infant's external genitals do not appear to be clearly male or female. In a baby with ambiguous genitalia, the genitals may be incompletely developed or the baby may have characteristics of both sexes.

Nalubega said she delivered her baby from Kalisizo Health Centre and the baby was normal, but after some time, her sister noticed the baby had a problem. She says she went back to Kalisizo, but the doctors advised her to go to Mulago.

The doctors at Mulago diagnosed the baby with ambiguous genitalia and proposed operation, which Nalubega says they cannot afford now.

Nalubega said for any assistance, they can be reached on 0754392099 or 0772678438.
