FUFA disbands technical teams for all national teams

FUFA has parted ways with other members on the Uganda Cranes technical team few days after former coach Desabre Sebastien mutually agreed to terminate his contract to join Pyramids FC in Egypt.

The positions with the other national teams (U-23, U-20 and U-17) also remain vacant as FUFA looks for their replacements.

The positions to apply for include; head coach, assistant coaches, trainers, video assistants, medical team and kit men.

This was confirmed by the FUFA president Moses Magogo.

"All those interested in these positions should apply to FUFA. But they should be qualified. This opportunity is given to both Ugandans and non-Ugandans. At the end, we shall sit down as the executive to decide the technical personnel of the different national teams," he stated.

For the Uganda Cranes senior team, Abdullah Mubiru, Livingstone Mbabazi and Sadiq Wassa have been appointed as the head coach and assistants on an interim basis to be in charge of the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers between Uganda and Somalia later this month.

The trio also has the chance to apply for the positions just like Mathias Lule, the immediate assistant to Desabre, Fred Kajoba (goalkeeping coach) among others.
