URA FC who enjoyed a relatively successful 2018/19 Uganda Premier League season where they went unbeaten away from home, are already plotting to surpass that performance.

For starters, they have so far signed five players to beef up their squad and these include Ashraf Mandela, John Ssemazzi, Ivan Sserubiri, Mikidadi Ssenyonga and Mustafa Anwaru Ntege.

This will provide depth to the squad that was badly needed last season when some of their players got injured.

Ntege who was the club's first signing in the current transfer this season believes he is ready for the new challenge.

"It feels so good to sign for a top club like URA. It is a challenge for me but I need challenges in my life to better my career. URA has good players like Shafik Kagimu and many others who I can't wait to play with," he stated.

The 24-year-old striker who was Ndejje University's top scorer with seven goals, signed a three-year contract with the tax collectors.

"I want to be the top scorer in the Uganda Premier League and to also feature for the national team and URA FC has the platform to help me achieve that," he added.
