The former KCCA FC player said areas such as Naguru, Bukoto, and Kamwokya are breeding places for talent

Soccer star Brian Umony will for the second year running organise a charity event to give back to the community.

Umony revealed this at the Bet Lion offices, Nakawa Business Park on Tuesday through his foundation together with different partners to help develop the talents of young people in slums of Uganda.

The former KCCA FC player said areas such as Naguru, Bukoto, and Kamwokya are breeding places for talent and hence there was a need to reach out to these kids to help them nurture their talent.

The Umony Foundation will give out mother kits to all pregnant mothers in KCCA Bukoto health Centre, clean the hospital wards, compound and the nearby community.

Later in the day, Umony together with fellow players Savio Kabugo, Ivan Bukenya and Baker Lukoya will conduct a football clinic to train some selected players of a community selected team in Mulimira area of Bukoto.

The selected players will also be given football equipment such as soccer balls, jerseys, training bibs, shoes, and other football related items. They will also carry out career guidance sessions to all participants to help them make better choices in the future.

Bet Lion, National Council of Sports, Hillary Tangahya Foundation, Mark Mutungi Foundation are some of the sponsors of the event.
