Police get new lead in Nansana murder

The Police are getting to closing into the real shooters in the recent robbery at the Cheap Hardware shop in Nansana municipality, Wakiso district.

The Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, without divulging details, said they have managed to identify the vehicle suspected to be part of the aggravated robbery.

Six armed thugs moving on three motorcycles; attacked and raided the hardware shop. In the scuffle; two people were shot dead and three other critically injured. 

Enanga revealed that the thugs took off with sh385m, which was yet to be taken to the bank.

While addressing journalists at the Police weekly press briefing at the Police headquarters in Naguru, a Kampala suburb, Enanga said their investigators managed to review the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage and identified the vehicle.

"We think this is our lead and can lead us to the real culprits. We cannot reveal details for purposes of our investigation," he added.

He also noted seven suspects who were arrested in connection with robbery were released after interrogation.
