Arua one FM rewards listeners with Eid hampers

Arua One FM, one of Vision Group's radio stations that covers wide listenership in West Nile, the Democratic Republic of Congo and parts of South Sudan rewarded its listeners with gift hampers to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr.

The station manager Arua One FM, Grace Lekuru, while handing out the hampers on Monday, appreciated the listeners for always tuning in to the station that has continued to serve the West Nile sub-region.

She said each hamper contains sugar, rice, cooking oil, sodas and chicken worth sh75,000.

Lekuru noted that during Ramadhan, the radio station prepared a special programme that fits the spirituality of Muslim listeners.

"As a way of giving back for the love you have shown us, we have decided to give give you these gifts on top of the on-air programming that solely benefitted the Muslim brothers and sisters," she said.

Embi Mambo, one of the listeners said he was so grateful to Arua One FM for the hampers they received.

He said it would help him plan for Eid celebrations for the entire family and neighbours within his vicinity.

"I have also got an opportunity to interact with Arua One FM staff, particularly the news reporters and other presenters," Mambo said.

Latifah Imam, another listener said the fasting period was not easy due to financial hardships, however, Arua One FM's reward will help him celebrate Eid.

 
"I am extremely happy to have received the assortments, they will help me a great deal to ensure that I celebrate the day colourfully," she said.

Zaitun Musa, a listener said the station has interesting programmes that help them access information that help women and children.

"I am grateful to God to have been among the 20 listeners who have to receive the hampers," she said.
