Procurement of a contractor for Civil Works for Installation of Meteorological infrastructures around proposed wetland restoration sites

Background:

The Ministry of Water and Environment with funding from the Green Climate Fund, through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is implementing "Building Resilient Communities and Ecosystems through Restoration of Wetlands and Associated Catchments in Uganda Project". The project is being implemented in partnership with UNDP, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries and Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA). Access to information on climate variability and extreme events will help to enhance livelihood decision-making, for both resilient agriculture-based livelihood practices and alternative livelihoods. It will also strengthen risk reduction, which can help reduce direct impact of floods and droughts on wetland areas which threaten further degradation.

In order to enhance implementation and also ensure timely delivery of project outputs, we have identified the need to procure civil works for installation of weather stations to put in place the right systems and testing out the best technologies.
