Former Olympiad John Bosco Waigo has donated eight pairs of AIBA certified gloves to the bombers as they prepare for the All Africa Games due in August in Rabat, Morocco.

Compact standard gloves worth 500 pounds will be used by the bombers in training before the games in Morocco.

"You see, even gloves can intimidate you when you have never used them, and that is the reason I decided to get these for you as my contribution to the team," Waigo said.

Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi lauded Waigo for the gesture and urged all professional boxers out there to emulate him.

Waigo handed over the gloves to national team coach Patrick Lihanda at Lugogo in the presence of Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) president Moses Muhangi.

"All boxers who are out of the country must learn to give back to their country, let them open up opportunities for the upcoming young ones back home," Muhangi said.

He challenged bombers to be focused so that after the Olympics, they can be able to sign good contracts in the professional ranks.
