The team expects a better performance in Moshi than last year in Arusha.

Uganda Darts Association secretary David Tabaro has cautioned Team Uganda players to step up their game and be consistent if they are to stay in the national team.

Tabaro was speaking after naming the four ladies and six men who formed the team that will represent Uganda in the Tanzania Open tournament next weekend in Moshi Tanzania.

"We have changed the format of picking the national team so that players are not in the comfort zone. Anyone to be on it must be consistent in performance," Tabaro said.

"We are going for the Tanzania Open and we shall be evaluating their performance regularly and if anyone is below standards we shall drop him off the team," he added.

He also said that he expects a better performance in Moshi than last year in Arusha.

In Arusha, the Ugandan team reached the final, while in the singles category Harriet Akot won the event.

The team named includes Sarah Makanga, Maria Namuganyi, Harriet Akot and Dinah Amoding (Women) while Ronald Kalete, Andrew Emomeri, James Ociti, Patrick Ochieng and Job Odoi form the men's side.

Prisons, club 291 Lira and Police are the clubs representing Uganda in the clubs category of the tournament.
