The new flavour of professional boxing, Shafiq Kiwanuka, gave his fans something to cheer when he knocked out David Kamara of Kenya in the first round at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Kamara is a former Olympian who represented his country at the London 2012 games and like Kiwanuka was also making is professional.

"I am a killing machine. I broke him early to show my fans that I mean business and this is my journey to becoming a world champion. I am looking forward to fighting world stars like Anthony Joshua," noted Kiwanuka.

He also challenged any Ugandan who thinks can beat him to come forward and dedicated the win to young boxers, urging them to be disciplined and train hard.

 

The fight that was preceded by seven undercards was witnessed by the deputy ambassador to the Kenyan High Commission in Uganda, Peter Macharia, UPBC president Salim Uhuru, former pugilist Godfrey Nyakana, and professional boxer Sharif Bogere among others.

Big Strikers promoted the event that was supported by Vision Group and was telecast live on Urban TV.
