Museveni opens six factories

President Yoweri Museveni commissioned six factories in Mukono and Wakiso districts on Saturday. Five of the factories are located in Mbalala, Mukono district, with estimated investment value of $700m (about sh2.5 trillion) and approximately 50,000 direct jobs. These bring to 42, the number of factories in the same sub county, owned mainly by Chinese investors, Indians, Ugandans, Kenyans, Ukrainians and Dutch.
