Jaguar scoops Europe's 'Car of the Year' gong with I-Pace model

SWITZERLAND - Jaguar's electric I-Pace car is named Europe's 2019 'Car of the Year' at a ceremony in Geneva with the company's design director describing electric vehicles as 'the future'.


Ian Callum, Jaguar's design director said, "On behalf of everyone at Jaguar, thank you very much indeed, this a great honour not only because it's an electric car, why should people be surprised electric cars win this award: this is the future, we better all accept that, that's the way it's going to go. The other great thing of course is that it is the first Jaguar to win this."
