Kawempe Muslim extended its lead atop the Victoria Group of the FUFA Women Elite League following its 6-0 victory over Rines over the weekend.

The victory saw Kawempe move to 25 points, six above second-placed Lady Doves who defeated Asubo Gafford Ladies 2-0.

Juliet Nalukenge and Asia Nakibuuka each scored a brace before Sharon Naddunga and Tracy Jones Akiror added the other goals for Kawempe which only needs three more points from its remaining five games to progress to the playoffs.

Nalukenge took her tally to nine goals and she is now the joint top scorer with Hasifah Nassuna of UCU Lady Cardinals.

Elsewhere, Nulu Nakyanzi and Kenyan striker Lilian Veronica Zeddy each scored a goal as Gafford lost to Lady Doves, while She Corporates defeated Dynamic 3-0.

In the Elizabeth Group, Lilian Mutuuzo, Damalie Matama, Zaina Namuleme and Monica Namwase were on target as leaders Kampala Queens defeated Bugiri Town View 4-0 to move to 18 points.

Jauhara Naluyima's late winner saw UCU defeat Uganda Martyrs 1-0 away to continue piling pressure on leaders Kampala Queens.

Both sides are level on points and are only separated by goal difference.
