KAMPALA - International gospel music icon, Don Moen has promised a memorable night of worship at this year's Kampala praise fest. The event will take place Friday at the Kololo airstrip starting 4:00pm.

While speaking at a press conference held Thursday at Mestil Hotel's pool side, the I Will Sing star expressed his excitement for returning to a beautiful Uganda to sing praises to God with the people of Uganda.

"I am honoured to be back and to share a stage with several of your extremely talented artistes and worship leaders. I look forward to what the Lord is going to do," Moen joyfully stated.

This is Moen's second time in Kampala; having been here in 2014 for the ‘Don Moen Live in Kampala' concert that took place at Kampala Serena Hotel on June 01, 2014. He also had an extra concert at the Makerere University Grounds on June 02, 2014.

Moen also expressed that coming together to worship at Kololo will be a life-changing experience for Uganda.

"When we come together to give God praise, the Bible says in Psalm 22:3 that God inhabits in the praises of His people. And I know these people are here in Uganda. So when we come together to worship and praise, His promise is to be in our midst and I know He will be," he said.

Moen was also is pleased at the diversity that will be at the concert. "The music styles will be different. I am not as cool as some of the artistes in this group but I can only be Don Moen and that is who I will be at the Praise Fest; singing my songs in my way. Together with these artistes, we shall come together with the same heart, same vision to uplift the name of the Lord in this great nation. We believe that in what we will do, God will visit us," Moen added.

He is expected to perform alongside Ugandan artistes including Levixone, Pr. Wilson Bugembe, Sandra Suubi, Brian Lubega, the Watoto Children's choir and Exodus, among several more.

Also speaking at the press conference, legendary Limit-X singer and team leader of the organisers of the concert, Isaac Rucci expressed his excitement at Moen's presence in Uganda and called out fans, gospel music lovers and all Ugandans of different religious denominations to come have a soul-uplifting experience tomorrow.
