For Uganda's duo of Marvin Kiriwo and Frank Tayebwa, there is more to the ITF East African 18 & Under Junior Circuit in Kenya than meets the eye.

Besides picking up international ranking points, the two teenagers have been selected by an expert from India to take part in a one-year tennis stint at the Durga Public School in India.

This comes as a reward for their heroics at the event in Kenya where they defeated a number of opponents in the main draw.

"He was fascinated by their talent and as their local coach I can only say this is a dream come true for the two boys and certainly a reflection of the job being done in Uganda," said coach Charles Wanyama.

The deal comes with facilitated travels and a special kind of training with the boys expected to leave for India after the final round of the circuit which ends on February 8.

To qualify for the final circuit, they defeated Kenyans Derrick Ominde and Edmond Nyabwari on Monday. Kiriwo beat Nyabwari 7-5, 6-2 while Tayebwa beat Ominde 4-6,6-2, 3-6.

The final circuit of the ITF East African 18 & Under Junior Circuit begins on 2 February.
