Finance minister holds talks with Germany delegation

Dr Mentrup said his team is in the country to explore ways of partnering with companies and institutions of higher learning in country within five fields of operation.

The Germany delegation led by the Mayor of Karlsruhe city, Dr Frank Mentrup has held talks with the Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija.

Dr Mentrup said his team is in the country to explore ways of partnering with companies and institutions of higher learning in country within five fields of operation.

The fields are energy sector especially renewable energy, education and research, business to business, technology and innovation, and finance sector.

Kasaija welcomed the initiative and stressed that the government is interested in technical institute, renewable energy, technology and innovation.

The Germany delegation was accompanied by Germany ambassador to Uganda, Dr Albrecht Conze and the managing director of Uganda Development Bank (UDB) Patricia Ojangole.
