Ouma also indicated that the 3-0 victory was a big boost for his side

Vipers' interim coach Michael Nam Ouma was impressed with the performance of his side after they defeated Onduparaka 3-0 on Tuesday to get back to winning ways in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

"I want to thank the players for a wonderful display exhibited. We were in control right from the onset and even when we failed to score in the first half, they kept surging forward and the goals eventually came in the second half," said Ouma. His side settled for a goalless draw against Bright Stars in his first game in charge last week.

"I think we improved a lot in our performance from the previous game. We showed composure and hunger for goals."

Ouma also indicated that the 3-0 victory was a big boost for his side as they prepare to take on Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in the first leg of the playoffs of the CAF Confederation Cup this Saturday at St Mary's stadium, Kitende.

"The win was very important because we had gone three games without scoring, but this helps to reawaken our spirits and considering that we have a game on Saturday, this acted as a big boost," Ouma revealed.
