“I’m happy to be back where l belong and l think it’s like the beginning of a new period"
Edward Golola has returned to Vipers as one of the interim coaches at the club.
Golola will be with the Venoms’ technical team for his third spell after the club relieved Mexican tactician Javier Martinez Espinosa of his duties a week ago. He will be assistant coach to Kenyan Michael Ouma.
“I’m happy to be back where l belong and l think it’s like the beginning of a new period. Do l have a different personality? No, but for sure l have a different approach and perspective,” he said.
“I am where l want to be because my career has been built and raised on success. I was able to achieve success and win trophies with this team. I have to believe in that.
I am back because we feel we are in the best moments though have a little meltdown which we are going to work on and am ready to work together again with anyone to help this club succeed again,” he added.
Golola has been vital in all three league titles that Vipers has won with two coming as the head coach (2009/10 & 2014/15) while was Miguel Da Costa’s assistant last season.
He will be working with Ouma, goalkeeping coach Moses Oloya, Edward Ssali and Nyakana Mpuga.
